What was the highlight of Grafton Beach Resort
Awesome
The property was very nice and comfortable and conveniently located on a quiet beach. The pool was also very nice. Most of the staff were very nice and professional. However, the first touch points I felt (front desk check in, for example) could use a bit of training in customer service and first impressions. Otherwise, the stay was great. Shout out to Raquel and Margot as well as the general manager (I did not get her name but she is a superstar!!) for excellent service!!!

What was the highlight of Grafton Beach Resort
Awesome
Honestly, a whole lot. I went into this vacation not expecting much. All my go-to resorts were booked solid and I wondered how well I would fare in a resort that still had room at such competitive prices. I obviously took the plunge, booking an all inclusive package for my wife and I, as well as our two little kids. On our arrival, we were checked in and given our bands and a list of what "all-inclusive" entailed, which, for the record was all meals and more drinks than I could name. What really stood out to me however was how clean and well kept the facility was. The common area near the lobby had ample seating and a big screen 4k tv permanantly fixed on skysports (for the few who cant do without the football I guess) The grass was green and freshly manicured, as was the pool (I would find out later there was a kiddy pool elsewhere on the compound, which greatly appealed to the father in me) I had read previously about rude, uninformed staff, however I had no such experience and found almost everyone to be pleasant and helpful, the female bartender and the one gentleman who seemed to be the manager (he hails from somewhere else in the Caribbean, I suck at guessing accents) deserve a specific shoutout. The food was good most times and great sometimes. This is very subjective however as there is SO MUCH variety that it always has something you will like (I really need a salt shaker though). Perhaps the biggest surprise of the trip has to be the access to Black Rock Bay that Grafton allows access to, just over the road from the facility. It is by no means a bad beach, it's actually pretty nice, my children however, prefer it to the likes of Store Bay and Pigeon Point. (Insert bewildered expression here) Needless to say I rented a car for 4 days and used it once.
The room tile needs a bit of updating, the red tiles are non slip but they are also a more outdoor selection imho. Also, salt shakers should be provided at tables. I understand that one must cater for a variety of guests and salt can be bothersome to some, however, the option to add salt can be a deal breaker to others (Me, a deal breaker to me...)
